Superstars roll of honour
Superstars originally ran from 1973 to 1985 and featured some of the biggest names in sport.

Olympic legend Daley Thompson tasted success, football ace Kevin Keegan did much more than fall off a bike, while Stan Bowles and Malcom MacDonald enjoyed the dubious distinction of sinking in their canoes.

When it came to winning, however, lesser-known lights David Hemery, Brian Jacks and Brian Hooper led the way.

The show thrilled a whole new generation of fans in 2002 when it returned to British TV screens as a one-off special for Sport Relief and led to the making of a new series the following year.
