Cavendish shines as Sastre wins Le Tour
Mark Cavendish made history at the Tour de France when he became the first Briton to win four stages in the event.
"I was trying that hard, so to get another win was really good," he said after his fourth win.
"It's a bit impossible to comprehend but now I'd see it as a failure to not carry on winning."
Cavendish eventually pulled out ahead of the 15th stage to concentrate on the Olympics, while Carlos Sastre continued his charge at the top where he stayed until the very end.
Sastre became the third Spaniard in succession to win the Tour.
