The Spice Girls have launched Sport Relief 2008 by urging the nation to rise to the challenge and sign up for the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile.
There will be hundreds of mile events across the UK on Sunday 16 March and the girls are encouraging everyone to get involved and seek sponsorship.
"Signing up to do a mile for Sport Relief is such an easy thing to do," said Melanie Chisholm, 34.
"And it's great timing this year after the post-Christmas excesses."
The other four Spice Girls were quick to agree with the aptly named Sporty Spice.
"Whether you're young or old, fit or unfit, most people can do a mile in one way or another and help poor and vulnerable people in the process."
Sport Relief 2008 is all about challenging yourself, friends, family and colleagues to do something sporty to raise cash.
The Spice Girls are not the only famous faces from the worlds of sport and entertainment who are getting behind Sport Relief.
Stars such as Davina McCall, Alan Shearer, James Cracknell, Tess Daly and Mark Ramprakash are all lending their support to this year's campaign.
And record-breaking X-Factor superstar Leona Lewis will be releasing the official Sport Relief single.

With 23 flagship Sport Relief Miles and hundreds of smaller local events planned in every area of the UK there is no excuse for not getting involved.
It costs £5 for adults and £2 for children (under 16) to enter, or £12 for family entry (2 adults, 2 children). Entry fees cover costs only and do not include a donation to Sport Relief.
We ask that everyone that takes part gets sponsored and raises money.
Comic Relief then spends the money you raise to help vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both at home in the UK and in the world's poorest countries.
The Sport Relief weekend will kick off on Friday 14 March with a star-studded night of TV entertainment, that will feature Sport Relief versions of The Apprentice and Strictly Come Dancing.
The campaign promises to be even better than last time around when Walliams swam the channel in record-breaking time and more than 400,000 people did a mile for Sport Relief.
