Matt Chilton joined the BBC in 1997 when he became a member of the Ski Sunday team.

Before that he worked in ski resorts and consequently has a very sound knowledge of the circuit.

Chilton has worked on Ski Sunday every season since joining, but he has also branched out into other sports.

During the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Chilton made the move from snow to sand and became the BBC's main commentator for the beach volleyball, a new sport in the Olympics - and for him.

Last summer, he went to Wimbledon as part of the Bafta award winning interactive television team covering the 2001 tournament.
