Road to Cardiff nears its end
Chelsea and Fulham's last meeting produced five goals
Match of the Day, BBC One, 1830 BST, Sunday 14 April
Chelsea and Fulham will go head-to-head in a west London derby with a difference in front of the Match of the Day cameras. The sides will make the trip north to Villa Park to settle their local skirmish - with a place in the FA Cup final at stake. Gary Lineker will present the BBC's coverage of the semi-final clash, with live commentary from John Motson and Trevor Brooking The game promises to be a thriller if the last match between Claudio Ranieri's Chelsea and Jean Tigana's Fulham is anything to go by. When they met at Stamford Bridge, the Blues came away with a dramatic 3-2 victory. There is considerable firepower on both sides, with Chelsea pair Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Eidur Gudjohnsen facing off against Fulham's Steve Marlet and Louis Saha. On offer is the chance to pick up some much-needed silverware at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on 4 May, with the added incentive of a place in the UEFA Cup next season. The programme will include highlights of the day's other semi-final between Middlesbrough and Arsenal at Old Trafford. Live coverage of both FA Cup semi-finals on BBC Radio Five Live
