London Marathon

35,000 pairs of feet pounding the streets of London in the sunshine meant that the Marathon heroes put Jenson Button and Carl Froch in the shade to become our Sports Personalities on 27 April

Sebastian Vettel

20 April, and Sebastian Vettel's barnstorming Bahrain victory meant that he overtook Wolves' Mick McCarthy and Everton penalty hero Tim Howard to take Inside Sport's most coveted prize

Angel Cabrera

It's 13 April, and Angel Cabrera's green jacket victory at Augusta put him ahead of Fernando Torres and the Scottish curling team.

Liam Treadwell

On 6 April the 100-1 shot Liam Treadwell, who rode Mon Mome to Grand National glory, managed to pip England Women's cricket champ Claire Taylor and Frederico Macheda to the inaugural SPOTW title
