Sport on BBC Radio Manchester

BBC Radio Manchester is the place for you to hear all the latest news and commentary on the area's major teams.

The station broadcasts on 95.1 FM and 104.6 FM, DAB digital radio and online at bbc.co.uk/manchester, although some sporting events cannot be streamed online for contractual reasons.

Our top team of commentators will bring you all the football action from: Manchester United, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic, Oldham Athletic, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport and Macclesfield, rugby union involving Sale Sharks, rugby league featuring Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Salford City Reds as well as Lancashire cricket and the best of the rest from the area's sporting action.

Manchester Sports usually previews all the weekend's matches from 1900-2200 BST on Fridays and brings you all the action from 1300-1800 BST on Saturdays and 1400-1800 BST on Sundays.

And you can see the best of the action on North West Tonight on BBC One at 1830 BST on Mondays and the day after any midweek matches.

THURSDAY, 4 JUNE 1800-2200 BST:

Rugby League Extra

Jack Dearden and Trevor Hunt look at the week's talking points in the 13-a-side code with guests and your chance to get involved on the phone - 0161 228 2255. With Twenty20 action available online, Chris Mallaband brings you commentary from Lancashire against Durham starting at 1730.

FRIDAY, 5 JUNE 1900-2200 BST:

Manchester Sports

Jack Dearden is back to bring you the latest Super League action as Salford travel to Wigan seeking revenge for last week's Challenge Cup disappointment. Updates too from St Helens' trip to East Yorkshire to take on Hull FC.
