22 Nicolas Lapentti
One of the most unpredictable players on the circuit, Lapentti can be brilliant - but sometimes just does not perform. Clay is his favourite surface but his best performance in a Grand Slam is a semi-final place in the 1999 Australian Open. The Ecuadorian has won a tournament this year - on clay at St Poelten - but Wimbledon has not been a happy hunting ground as far as Grand Slam events are concerned. However, ironically, it was the scene of the highlight of his career so far - when he led his country to a Davis Cup triumph over Great Britain at the All England Club in 2000.
