Curtis is ranked 335 in the world in women's singles
Cornwall's Jade Curtis is out of the women's doubles at Wimbledon after an epic three set defeat in the first round on Wednesday.
Curtis, 19, and Anna Smith lost to rising British star Laura Robson and Georgie Stoop 6-4 3-6 13-11.
Curtis and Smith took the first set, before a spirited comeback from their opponents in the second took the match into a deciding set.
The game lasted over three hours and was played on court number one.
Curtis and Smith committed 53 unforced errors, whilst Robson and Stoop only made 44.
