The young Czech player fared well in last year's Grand Slams, reaching the quarter-finals of the US Open, the fourth round of the Australian Open and the third round at the French Open.

Her progress has been steady, if unspectacular, this season.

A right wrist injury ruled her out of much of April's competition but the 19-year-old has returned in time for Roland Garros.

Is coached by her father and has been tipped as a player on the rise. She was named the Tour's top newcomer two seasons ago.
