Majoli's only Grand Slam title to date came on the Parisian clay back in 1997.

Since then, the Croatian has been hampered by a series of injuries to her back, her right ankle and her right shoulder.

She eventually had to undergo surgery on the damaged shoulder causing her to miss much of the 1999 and 2000 seasons.

Now back fighting fit, she remains a threat on clay and has already picked up one singles win this season - in Charleston.

Then ranked 58, she became the lowest-ranked player to win a WTA Tour event since the rankings were introduced 22 years ago.
