31. Rita Grande
Two singles titles in 2001, in Hobart and Bratislava, capped the Italian's most successful season to date and pushed her up the world rankings. Her passage into the fourth round at the Australian Open helped her cause further before she was ousted from the competition by eventual winner Jennifer Capriati. That fourth round berth matched her previous best in a Grand Slam, which she achieved last year in Roland Garros. Is coached by her brother Vincenzo Grande.
