30. Amanda Coetzer
Amanda Coetzer

DOB: 22.10.1971
Nationality: South African
World Ranking: 33
Previous French Open results:
2001 :: third round
2000 :: third round
1999 :: first round
1998 :: first round

Coetzer moved up to a career-best fourth in the world rankings at the end of the 1997 season but has never quite recaptured the same level of consistency since then.

She has picked up a total of eight singles titles and nine doubles crowns since turning professional in 1988.

The 31-year-old earned the tag of the "Little Assassin" after defeating then world number one Steffi Graf at the Australian Open in 1997. She then went on to reach the semi-finals.

And she is renowned for her powerful play and attacking presence in every contest.
