17. Tamarine Tanasugarn
Her best Grand Slam results to date have come at Wimbledon, where she reached the fourth round every year from 1998 to 2001. She has failed to find her feet on clay, overcoming the first hurdle just twice. She represents Thailand but also holds a United States passport. Her father, who originally coached her, was a former Olympic basketballer in the 1960s.
