15. Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario

DOB: 18.12.1971
Nationality: Spanish
World Ranking: 18
Previous French Open results:
2001 :: second round
2000 :: semi-final
1999 :: semi-final
1998 :: winner

Sanchez-Vicario may have slowed a little but the "Barcelona Bumblebee" still relies on her ability to chase down most balls on clay.

Now in the twilight of her career, her chances of a fourth French Open title look highly improbable.

Won the title for the first time as a 17-year-old but has struggled to keep pace with the more powerful forces of the modern game.

She has won more medals than any other Spanish athlete in the history of the Olympics, taking home a total of two silver and two bronze between 1988 and 2000.
