9. Thomas Johansson

DOB: 24.03.1975
Nationality: Swedish
World Ranking: 9
Previous French Open results:
2001 :: first round
2000 :: second round
1999 :: -
1998 :: first round

Johansson has had a miserable time of it at the French Open, playing a total of eight matches at the annual tournament and winning on just two occasions.

Johansson stunned the tennis world by beating Marat Safin to win the Australian Open, but his poor form on the clay has seen him lose the lead in the ATP's Champions Race.

The 27-year-old readily admits that he will be relieved when the clay season is over and he can return to more familiar surfaces.

Could well be the victim of an early-round upset.
