28. Greg Rusedski

DOB: 06.09.1973
Nationality: British
World Ranking: 30
Australian Open record:
2001 :: fourth round
2000 :: n/a
1999 :: second round
1998 :: third round
1997 :: first round

Rusedski enjoyed his best ever showing at the Australian Open last year and will want more of the same as he continues the long climb back up the rankings.

He reached a career high number four in 1997, after finishing runner-up at the US Open, but has since slid backwards.

Injuries have been the bane of the big-serving Briton's game, but in the last 12 months he has enjoyed a free-run on that front.

He arrives in Melbourne Park in perfect form after winning his 11th tour title in Auckland, where he beat Jerome Gomard in three sets two days before the start of the first Grand Slam of the year.
