10. Goran Ivanisevic
Ivanisevic is back in the big-time after a long time on the periphery. The big-server's win at Wimbledon - his most coveted prize - thrust him back up the rankings and into the limelight. However, that victory, in five sets over Pat Rafter, was Ivanisevic's only win of the year. He failed to make much of an impression elsewhere on the tour, but as Wimbledon showed, the bigger the stage the better the Croat plays. Ivanisevic first played at Melbourne in 1989 and the surface will suit his game as he attempts to better the three quarter-final appearances he has made down the years. Time will tell whether he is content to merely live out his dream of being Wimbledon champion, or if that success has given him the drive for more big titles?
