5. Sebastien Grosjean
Grosjean enjoyed his best-ever Grand Slam showing 12 months ago when he reached the last four at the Australian Open. He followed that up with another semi-final appearance at Roland Garros and became the first Frenchman since Henri Leconte 15 years earlier, to reach back-to-back Grand Slam semis. His form dipped thereafter, only picking up in the last month of the season. The 23-year-old won his second tour title at the Masters Series event in Paris, before falling to Lleyton Hewitt in the final of the Masters Cup. Those performances preceded a disappointing season finale when he lost both his rubbers in the Davis Cup final in Australia. At 5ft 9in, he is one of the smallest players on the tour and a very hard worker who will be looking for a better return on his return to Australia.
