Britain's Oliver Golding lost out in the final of the junior boys' doubles in the US Open at Flushing Meadows.

Golding and his Czech partner Jiri Vesely were beaten 6-1 7-5 by third seeds Duilio Beretta of Peru and Roberto Quiroz from Ecuador.

Golding and Vesely, the fourth seeds, were broken in the first game of the match in a one-sided opening set.

But although they put up more of a fight in the second set, their opponents proved too strong.

Londoner Golding, 16, reached the semi-finals of the juniors at Wimbledon earlier this year and won gold in last month's Youth Olympics in Singapore alongside Vesely.
