Britain's Laura Robson has been knocked out of the junior US Open following a straight-sets defeat by unseeded American Robin Anderson.

Robson, 16, could not find her usual rhythm as she suffered a 6-3 6-2 third-round defeat on Court 13.

The eighth seed, a junior semi-finalist in 2009, just missed out on a place in the senior tournament in August.

But Oliver Golding is through to the boy's doubles semi-finals after a straights win with partner Jiri Vesely.

The Anglo-Czech pair, seeded fourth, eased past unseeded Brazilian duo Karue Sell and Bruno Semenzato 6-1 6-3.
