Timea Babos has thanked her coaches in Hertfordshire after winning the Wimbledon Girls' Doubles event.

The 17-year-old Hungarian, who is based at Welwyn Garden City's Gosling Tennis Academy, took the title with American partner Sloane Stephens.

She told the LTA website: "I am really grateful for the all-round coaching Gosling has provided, as well as working in partnership with my dad."

French Open winners Babos and Stephens beat the top seeds in the final.

The pair took the honours at the All England Club by defeating Irina Khromacheva of Russia and Elina Svitolina of Ukraine 6-7 6-2 6-2.

Babos' programme manager John Morris added: "We are thrilled Timi has won her second Grand Slam title.

"It is fantastic to see the progress Timi has made since joining the team at Gosling and I am sure if she focuses on developing the areas we have identified she will achieve similar success at senior level in the very near future."

Also representing the Gosling Academy was 17-year-old Tara Moore, who was knocked-out of the Girls' Singles quarter-final by fellow Britain Laura Robson.
