2042: It's a WRAP. Winner of Murray v Fish will play France's Michael Llodra in the quarters - he beat Marin Cilic 7-6 (7-2) 6-2. I'm out of here. Great work peeps. Get tweeting me if you fancy - World Cup predictions, Murray predictions, and all parental tips gratefully received. Bye for now.

2039: Another big Queen's shock. Belgium's Xavier Malisse beats Novak Djokovic 6-3 4-6 6-2. Roddick OUT, Djoko OUT. What a strange day. At least Murray fights to live another day.

Murray 4-6 6-1 3-3 Fish
One hour 14mins and it's all-square. Game over. All back on court tomorrow from about 1300 BST - it's on BBC Two - but depends on order of play. That's your lot folks. I'll be on TWITTER for a bit if you fancy chucking me your thoughts. What's the worse bit of advice you've ever had from your parents or a peer? I'm after tips that's all....and will Murray finish this off tomorrow? A very shaky game for him....

2032: PLAY SUSPENDED FOR DARKNESS. Fish strolls off without even talking to Murray and the Scot stays out there and now he's arguing with the umpire. Massive boos around the court. "That came out of nowhere" says Murray. He's got a point. "It was absolutely fine. It's ridiculous". Murray is not happy. "The only reason he wants to stop playing is that it's 3-3". Murray's rant is carrying on. He waves to the crowd and he's finally off.

Murray 4-6 6-1 3-3 *Fish
Fish continues to limp along. And it's all-square. Solid serving.

From Elliott, via text: "Worst birthday ever had two exams and i have another one tomorow!! come on murray give me something to cheer about!!!."
Good luck Elliott. You're doing the right thing. You wouldn't be able to concentrate anyway. You try text commentating when you're expecting a baby on the first day of the World Cup. Good luck tomorrow anyway. Some dad I'm going to make with that kind of advice.

Murray* 4-6 6-1 2-3 Fish
Murray gets the game off to a perfect start and takes it to 0-30. Mr Sloppy gets his head back on and it's 30-30. It's more deuce as Fish plays a shocker out wide. A let-off for Murray. Another shocker. Top drawer shocker. Fish leaps into the air like a ..um...salmon....and he plants it into the net. Windy yes but Mardy - you've had a nightmare there. And it's a break. Mummy Murray has woken up again....

Twitter
tonycottam on Twitter: "What happened? Andy stormed the 2nd set, but this set, he's being battered like a fish supper (sorry)"

Murray 4-6 6-1 1-3 *Fish
Fish slipping again and Murray eases to a 40-0 lead. An ace gives him the game. Plenty of work to do. The crowd may be freezing their wotsits off but they give a massive cheer to encourage a Muzz fightback.

Murray* 4-6 6-1 0-3 Fish
Fish keeps up the aggression and has turned this match right round. What a weird match. Defending champ has it all to do. It's getting dark. I've had two games of Murray proportions - I included up-turned Union Jack flag graphics. What was I thinking of?

Murray 4-6 6-1 0-2 *Fish
Murray gets back into sloppy mode again. 0-30 on his serve. Concentration problems return? It's three break points with Fish pushing to the net again and causing Murray to play into the net. And it's game over with Murray playing a ball 10 feet long. Another shocker. Sorry folks - I misplaced some digits in the previous game's score. Please forgive me. And please refresh page. Ooops.

It's good news for a Briton
Murray* 4-6 6-1 0-1 Fish
Fish steadies the ship with a fairly solid service game to take it to 30-0. The American is still trying to come to the net and it pays off with a firm smash. Muzz roars back though and Fish misses an easy volley and Murray has his chance. It's come from nowhere as well. A big serve takes it to deuce. Good work from Fish. Muzz blazes an easy forehand into the net and he loses the initiative. It's Fish's time to miss an easy shot - another deuce. A loose approach from Murray and a smart drop shot and Fish gets it. Mummy Murray looking concerned and determined. in the crowd.

From Josh in Colchester, via text: "Murray will surely go onto win this! If he doesn't he has no chance in wimbledon."

It's good news for a Briton
Murray 4-6 6-1 *Fish
48 minutes and it's one-set all. Great comeback from the world number four. He needed to raise his game and he did. He takes the second set with a super-cheeky disguised backhand down the line after Fish plopped one on to the net. More sweetness.

Murray* 4-6 5-1 Fish
Fish hangs on and Murray now serving for the second set.

Twitter
tonycottam on Twitter: "Murray's plan of wearing a blue shirt and blending in with the wall to disguise his shots is working well :)"

Twitter
fkclub on Twitter: "Great to see Murray fighting back against the mighty Mardy Fish. Don't think Murray will win Queens but could do Wimbledon"

Murray 4-6 5-0 *Fish
Murray goes 30-0 up and plays an audacious lob but it just goes long and wide. Unlucky. A disguised forehand and Fish's feet are tied up in knots. Sweeter than a box of mars bars.

Murray* 4-6 4-0 Fish
Fish still parading his skills at the net but his smashes aren't getting over right now. The ball pinging off Murray's racquet and he gets it to 30-30. A long one from Fish and it's deuce. How many other tennis players named after animals? Eddie Elephant. I made that up by the way. And it's another break. Murray on top of things.

From Will in Manchester, via text: "Can't help but think that murray will have his eye on wimbledon in 10 days time. I mean i'm sure Roddick would trade all 4 Queens for one Wimbledon."

Murray 4-6 3-0 *Fish
Some big serves crashing down from Murray and Fish looks for the first time today a little edgy. Grey clouds continue to hover over. Nadal said after his win that he prefers to play with the sun on his back because the clouds make the balls stay low. I won't argue with the Spaniard. Another missile from Murray and it's game.

It's good news for a Briton
Murray* 4-6 2-0 Fish
At last. Murray's woken up. The crowd wake up and he's 30-15 up against Fish's serve. Turning point perhaps? A bloomin' stunning rally and it's 40-15 to Muzz. Both players pushing each other all over the place and Murray is at the net to swallow up a cross-court pass attempt to leave the fans screaming. And a double fault hands it to Murray.

Murray 4-6 1-0 *Fish
Murray has not been in this match since losing his opening service game. Fish plays a sloppy one long and Murray looking a little lively with a cute drop shot to take the game.

From Oliver in Essex, via text: "Last time these both played it was in an exhibition match just before the french open which murray won; 7-6, 6-7, 11-9 in the tie breaker. Even though it looks like hes about to lose the first set I still think he will come though and win this match. All the top players today have had a hard time winning their matches. Just unlucky for roddick today. Also COME ON ENGLAND!!"
Thanks for that Oliver. I meant to say his last competitive game. But you guys are SHARP.

Murray* 4-6 Fish
Murray 0-15 down but has a chance of a pass - drifts long and there are big OOOOs round Centre Court. Big chance goes begging there. I've noticed Fish has quite slender legs. Just an observation. Another shocker from Murray and it's two set points. That's it. All too easy.

Murray 4-5 *Fish
Murray stays in the set. Just. The American 28-year-old next serving for the first set.

Murray* 3-5 Fish
Fish - donned in headband - slipping around but his serve is solid, steady and very very sharp. Takes it to love. Easy pickings.

From Jack, via text:"I should be revising but I learnt a long time ago that revising instead of watching sport never, ever works. Now I don't even try! Fish playing well"

Murray 3-4 *Fish
Murray cranks up the serve and takes it to 30. Fish looking to come to the net on most second serves and making him work for everything. Muzz edges it though. Still a break down.

Murray* 2-4 Fish
Murray really not at the races yet. Fish is ranked 90 in the world and he's by far the better player. The world number four very very sluggish. Six games in 13 minutes. Phenomenal.

Murray 2-3 *Fish
Boom boom. We could be all home in an hour. Murray takes his service game. An average of 16 seconds between points Andrew Castle tells us on the Red Button.

Murray* 1-3 Fish
Another comfortable service game. This is all happening very quickly. I think they're after an early night.

Murray 1-2 *Fish
The brollies are out. The scarves are wrapped around these hardy supporters. Murray changes his racquet and a glimmer of light. Early days though. Takes the service game.

Murray* 0-2 Fish
Steady service game from the American and he eases into a two-game lead. Easy stuff. Good omen for the Americans perhaps when they play the English in the World Cup on Saturday? Murray rattled.

From Jamie in Canterbury, via text: "murrays off against stiff opposition today! Have GCSEs to revise for.. Tennis or revision? Probably revision though as I really want to be head of house at my school! Come on andy"
Anybody else revising? What are you all up to?

Murray 0-1 *Fish
Murray starts with a whole bag of shockers. He stomps off court after losing his service game to 15. Muzza's new haircut not helping him so far.

1919: Andy Murray and Mardy Fish played in last year's Queen's championships in a quarter-final. Murray won in straight sets. Fish recently got revenge when he beat Murray at the Masters ATP 1000 event in Miami. Remember - Murray is defending champ here.

1913: Paris, London. All part of a hard month's graft for a tennis pro. Someone's got to do it. On another blustery day in the capital at Queen's, Andy Roddick got blown away by Israel's Dudi Sela and Rafa Nadal sneaked through. Can Andy Murray avoid another big shock? We shall soon find out. The mighty Muzz is now up against Mardy Fish. Britain vs the USA. All part of the build-up for the World Cup....I'm trying to build excitement here. You with me or what?

1911: Bonjour. Oh cripes. This isn't Roland Garros is it? Hold on. No red dirt. What's this green stuff? Oh yeh it's grass. It's Queen's of course.
