Britain's Naomi Cavaday claimed her first ITF clay-court title by beating second seed Andrea Hlavackova in the final of the Brescia event in Italy. Cavaday, ranked 194th in the world and seeded eighth, had overcome sixth seed Stephanie Foretz in the semi-finals. She went on to beat the world number 153 from the Czech Republic 6-2 6-4, and also won the doubles title with Russian partner Anastasia Pivovarova. It was Cavaday's first title since a hard-court victory in March 2007. "I played the best clay-court tennis this week and I came out the winner," Cavaday said. "I'm looking ahead to next week in Florence, where I'm looking to improve my game on the clay."
