Robson lost to Russia's Ksenia Pervak in last year's final
British teenager Laura Robson dropped just one game as she powered into round two of the girls' singles at the Australian Open.
The 16-year-old, who reached the final 12 months ago, beat Australian Belinda Woolcock 6-0 6-1 in 36 minutes.
Robson is already into the quarter-finals of the women's doubles with Australian Sally Peers.
Guernsey's Heather Watson, 17, was seeded second in the girls' event but fell to a surprise first-round defeat.
Watson, who won the girls' singles at the US Open, lost 6-1 4-6 6-1 to China's Hao Chen Tang.
The defeat spelled a premature end to the tournament for Watson as she and Robson have pulled out of the girls' doubles because Robson has reached the quarter-finals of the women's doubles.
In the boys' singles, Tom Allen lost 2-6 7-5 6-1 to 11th seed Renzo Olivo of Argentina.
