Argentine David Nalbandian is to undergo surgery on his right hip next week, which will rule him out of action for up to four months.

The World number 19 will miss the French Open and Wimbledon as well as Argentina's Davis Cup quarter-final against the Czech Republic in July.

Nalbandian was a Wimbledon finalist in 2002 losing to Lleyton Hewitt.

The former world number three also reached the French Open semi-finals in 2004 and 2006.

Nalbandian was expected to team up with Juan Martin Del Potro for Argentina's clash with the Czech Republic.
