Jankovic had to work hard for her first title of the year

Jelena Jankovic secured her first WTA tour title of the year by beating Carla Suarez Navarro 6-3 3-6 6-3 in the Andalucia Championship final.
The Spaniard, playing in her first tournament final, was broken six times on the outdoor clay by the Serb.
Suarez Navarro used one of her five break points to take the second set but was broken early in the third as Jankovic raced to a 5-1 lead.
From that point, Jankovic's first win since October was a formality.
Suarez Navarro's creditable performance finally ended as she dumped a return into the net on Jankovic's fifth match point.

Jankovic, who lost her opening match in Miami last week to world number 33 Gisela Dulko last week, admitted her form had slipped since she was deposed as world number one by Serena Williams at the Australian Open in January.
"I know I have not been playing well the last three months but this win has given me back the confidence I need," she said.
Caroline Wozniacki
of Denmark also claimed her first title of 2009 with a 6-1 6-2 win over Aleksandra Wozniak at the Ponte Vedra WTA event in Florida.
The Canadian had overturned top-seeded Nadia Petrova in the semi-finals, but Wozniacki was never in danger as a pair of double faults from Wozniak handed her the opening set.
The world number 12 made similarly short work of the second to add to her wins last year in Stockholm, New Haven and Tokyo.
