Murray beats Nadal for the first time in six attempts in the US Open semi-finals (top, centre left), to the delight of mum Judy and girlfriend Kim Sears (bottom left).

The Scot is in a Grand Slam final for the first time but defending champion Federer (top right) produces a magical display.

Murray: "I've learnt I've got a lot of improving to do if I want to win one of these things."
