2153: There we are then. Lovely jubbly. Murray up against Michael Llodra or Teimuraz Gabashvili on Wednesday.
Murray 6-3 6-4 6-0 Roitman
Murray coolly dispatches a smash to take him to two match points - and then races back to a lob before rifling a single-handed backhand down the line. A stunning way to end an otherwise routine match.
2150: "Shouldn't be long now, I fancy mine toasted with butter & jam!"

Murray 6-3 6-4 5-0 Roitman
The disappointment of that last game seems to weigh heavy on Roitman. Murray earns two break points, but sticks a return long and then is forced into a forehand error. No matter. A fizzing backhand return sets up a third break point and Roitman slaps a forehand into the net.
Murray 6-3 6-4 4-0 Roitman
Blimey! Roitman has a break point! The Argentine powers the return at Murray's feet but the Briton digs out the backhand and just about survives. Clenched fist from Murray as he holds serve. Anyone else fancy a bagel?
Murray 6-3 6-4 3-0 Roitman
Roitman belts a forehand into the trams and that's game over. Time to start thinking about the next round. Murray will play Michael Llodra or Teimuraz Gabashvili, who are locked at one set all at the moment. Murray will be hoping for a gruelling five-setter there I imagine. Nadal now two sets to love up.
2135: "This is the first round of a major championship and all I am seeing is a good confident performance from a great player who is doing this country proud, singlehandedly in the world of men's singles in tennis. Keep up the good work Andy."

Murray 6-3 6-4 2-0 Roitman
Sloppy. Murray shanks a forehand to allow Roitman back in at deuce. But two can play at that game. Roitman mis-hits a backhand and Murray survives.
Murray 6-3 6-4 1-0 Roitman
Oh, look at that. Lovely scenes. Murray misjudges a Roitman serve and it hits him on the back, prompting a wry smile from the 21-year-old. The Argentine chuckles away, before blowing imaginary smoke off the end of his racquet. Still, some sharp volleying nets Murray the break.
Murray 6-3 6-4 Roitman
Murray sticks a backhand well over the baseline to allow Roitman back in it at 30-30, but the Argentine still can't take advantage - wastefully putting a forehand just wide. Murray on easy street.
Murray 6-3 5-4 Roitman
Roitman makes Murray serve it out. This is the Argentine's 10th Grand Slam match... his record reads: won 0 lost 9.
Murray 6-3 5-3 Roitman
Murray gives it the "come on" after another routine service game. I can't blame him for trying to pump himself up. This is all a bit too easy. Not so for Rafa - he took the first set 7-6 and is now 2-2 against Phau.
2116: "Murray may be cruising to a straight sets win but once again his serve is a stumbling block. If he really wants to advance to his first semi at a slam, that serve percentage is just not good enough against the top players."

Murray 6-3 4-3 Roitman
Murray ramps up the power on his return to force two break points - but Roitman responds with four well-placed first serves on the spin.
Murray 6-3 4-2 Roitman
A double fault from Murray puts him in a spot of bother at 15-30 down - but then Roitman makes a hash of a forehand to let the sixth seed off the hook. The Argentine is understandably fuming about that. Still, Roitman does manage to get to deuce twice - a mini-victory for him - but Murray sees off the danger. I too have terrible Olympics withdrawal symptoms - why was there no modern pentathlon/ping pong/other random sport on my telly today?
2107: "Caroline, can you give us some rhythmic gymnastic results or taekwondo info? I'm having serious withdrawal problems. Cold turkey ain't fun."

Murray 6-3 3-2 Roitman
Well, I might write him off now. Murray scampers about the back of the court to force Roitman to play one more volley than he expected - and it works. A whipped forehand up the line prompts the Argentine to net. A backhand winner gives Murray the break.
Murray 6-3 2-2 Roitman
Who wrote Roitman off? Oh, it was me. Well, the Argentine is starting to look a bit tasty now. He takes a 15-30 lead - which is as close as he's come to challenging Murray on serve - but an ace gets the Brit out of trouble and he's back on track.
Murray 6-3 1-2 Roitman
Roitman - the world number 107 - seems to be getting into this now. He whips a one-handed down the line to take that game to 30.
Murray 6-3 1-1 Roitman
Murray's first serve percentage is way down at 35% - and most of that has been provided by his five aces. It doesn't matter. His second serve is doing the job just as well. Roitman is yet to get close to a break point.
Murray 6-3 0-1 Roitman
Murray steps it up again as he looks to take control of the set early on - but Roitman proves a bit more sturdy this time, holding from deuce. Nadal takes the first set against Phau on a tiebreak.
Murray 6-3 Roitman
Roitman successfully challenges a call on a Murray ace - but the Brit responds by sending another one down. Nice. The Argentine tries the same trick on set point, but Hawk-Eye says no and Murray wraps up a very comfortable set.
Murray 5-3 Roitman
I think Murray's trying to do a bit of a Sampras here: secure the break, then cruise. Probably a safe tactic against Roitman.
Murray 5-2 Roitman
Boom. There goes an ace down the 'T' and already Murray seems to be in cruise control. Not such plain sailing for world number one Rafa Nadal - he's 6-5 down in the first set against Bjorn Phau. Cripes.
Murray 4-2 Roitman
Armstrong Stadium isn't exactly packed, Murray and Roitman are rattling around a bit to be honest. The Argentine flings a backhand up the line to move to 40-15 and Murray responds by netting a return.
Murray 4-1 Roitman
Listen Sergio, these mid-court balls are bread and butter for Murray... The sixth seed steps inside the baseline to dispatch another winner and it's another easy game.
2031: "Comfortable start for Murray, not usually the best news because he tends to drop off when comfortably ahead. No excuses today though, has to be three easy sets."

Murray 3-1 Roitman
Sergio's on the board, steeping up the pace on a few forehands to take the initiative.
Murray 3-0 Roitman
A quick scan of Sergio Roitman's endeavours this season tells me he's not a big fan of surfaces that are not red or dusty. The Argentine has won just one ATP match away from clay this year - and that was back in January. He's got nothing to hurt Murray with. The Brit smashes another backhand winner to take that game.
Murray 2-0 Roitman
So far, this is more Cincinnati Murray than Beijing Murray - which is good news if you're a fan of the Brit. A couple of booming backhand winners help him to a 40-15 lead and he breaks at the first opportunity.
Murray 1-0 Roitman
Murray opens with a booming ace out wide and that's a decent start, holding to 15.
2017: Off we go then. Murray to serve.
2016: "Re 2010: A sketchy performance I fancy! Andy in four though."

2014: The Games may be gone, but the glory days for Great Britain continue. Anne Keothavong has just this minute posted her first ever Grand Slam win outside Wimbledon, routing American qualifier Alexa Glatch 6-2 6-2. Lovely.
2010: I know. I miss the Olympics too. But we'll have to make do with the last Grand Slam of the year - and that's not bad is it? Andy Murray faces Sergio Roitman. I say straight sets in an hour and a half. What say you?
