Del Potro captures fourth title

Juan Martin del Potro continued his magnificent run of form with a fourth successive tournament victory at the Legg Mason Classic in Washington.

The 19-year-old Argentine beat Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-3 to add the Washington crown to wins in Stuttgart, Kitzbuhel and Los Angeles.

Del Potro has won 19 straight matches and 37 of his last 39 sets.

"Today I was very, very nervous because I was the favourite to win the tournament," he said.

"In a final, if you play your best you can win, for sure, but I think today I played more with my mind than my body."

Del Potro squandered three match points as he served for the title, but he saved three break points before clinching victory with his fifth ace.

"I am pretty sad that maybe I could not be quite at 100% today but he played great, winning another title," said Troicki, who struggled with a back problem.

"Right now I am a little disappointed that I lost, but I am proud that I got to my first career final. I played great all week."
