Teaming up with Gilbert
Andy Murray and Brad Gilbert

Murray's run to the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2006 came amid increasingly strong rumours that Brad Gilbert would be his new coach.

Three weeks later, Gilbert, former coach of Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick, did indeed sign up, lured by a reported 500,000-a-year contract from the LTA.

The partnership paid immediate dividends with Murray reaching the Washington final.

"Sometimes at dinner in a relaxed atmosphere is when you do your best coaching. I definitely plan to be around him as much as he can handle.''
Brad Gilbert
