Jankovic led 2-0 in the deciding set before falling to defeat
|
"Kill myself? No, I will have some dinner and maybe get drunk or do something. I don't know. Whatever makes me feel better."
Jelena Jankovic finds defeat by Ana Ivanovic a little bit hard to take.
"I haven't spoke with anyone back home yet. But I'm sure they're going to be really supportive. Maybe even they're going to organize something in front of the square. I hope I going to make Serbia proud."
Ivanovic ponders the news that she is the first Serb to claim the world number one spot in tennis.
"This is first time you are in a press conference? Because every time the same questions you ask."
An exasperated Dinara Safina swats away the age-old 'why are Serbia and Russia so good at tennis' question.
"I won in two sets - that's strange for me."
Safina, who saved match points in the previous two rounds, reckons the only surprise about her beating Svetlana Kuznetsova was the scoreline.
"He's in England. He won't show up for the final."
Safina shatters the hopes of a host of females as she reveals brother Marat won't be in the crowd on Saturday.
"It was pretty horrible out there. I felt pretty bad."
Svetlana Kuznetsova tells it to us straight.
