Serena marches to Carolina final

Serena Williams
Williams turned the corner in the eights game of the second set

Serena Williams won her 14th straight match to reach her third consecutive final, beating Alize Cornet 7-5 6-3 at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston.

Fifth-seeded Williams rallied from 4-1 down against the unseeded Frenchwoman.

The American broke her 18-year-old opponent in the eighth game of the second set before holding serve to wrap up victory in one hour 24 minutes.

She will face Vera Zvonareva in the final after the Russian beat compatriot Elena Dementieva 6-3 6-7 6-3.
