1620: Good stuff. Not exactly explosive from Murray but then it wasn't needed against an out-of-sorts opponent. A thousand thanks for the texts and 606 chat. Check back tomorrow from 1530 GMT for the final. Wawrinka takes a 2-0 head-to-head record into that match.
Murray 6-4 6-3 Davydenko
Murray serves out in clinical fashion - proving exactly why so many people are tipping him for big things. The 20-year-old coolly lobs a ball into the crowd after Davydenko goes long on match point and he will face Stanislas Wawrinka in Saturday's final.
Murray 6-4 5-3 Davydenko
Hmmm... Davydenko saves three match points - one with a very lucky netcord volley - and Murray must serve this out. Shouldn't be a problem though should it?
Murray 6-4 5-2 Davydenko
Murray is very pumped up now as Davydenko belts a return out to gift his opponent the game. The 20-year-old is a game away from the final now.
Murray 6-4 4-2 Davydenko
The crowd, who have been a bit quiet so far, suddenly come to life as Davydenko pulls off two touch volleys in a row. As I say, brilliant at the net that Davydenko. The Russian puffs out his cheeks with relief as he closes the gap.
Murray 6-4 4-1 Davydenko
Easy. Murray is closing in on a place in the final where he will meet Stan Wawrinka.
Murray 6-4 3-1 Davydenko
An absolutely stunning sliced backhand from Murray beats Davydenko all ends up - that'll teach him for coming to the net. That's triple break point and Murray snatches the second when he forces another volley error with a fierce forehand. Seriously, Davydenko should never come to net again.
Murray 6-4 2-1 Davydenko
Perhaps Ni-Dav should come to the net more often. He plays a delicious drop backhand volley to peg Murray back to 40-30 and the Brit responds by completely mis-hitting a forehand into the crowd. The Brit's back on track with a big first serve though.
Murray 6-4 1-1 Davydenko
Just as I was looking up when the last time was a player had a 6-0 set in every round, Davydenko comes up trumps. The Russian is a bit Jekyll and Hyde at the moment though.
Murray 6-4 1-0 Davydenko
Mr Consistent is, well, very inconsistent, Murray has hit form - so could we be in for another bagel from the 20-year-old?
"Small wager from me for Murray to win BBC Sport Personality in 2008."

Murray 6-4 Davydenko
It's Davydenko who blinks first, making a couple of errors off his forehand to allow Murray to take the first set. Murray's girlfriend Kim Sears, sitting on her own in the stadium, is ever so pleased about that.
Murray 5-4 Davydenko
Murray delivers a lame double-fault - his first of the match - to make it 30-30 but Davydenko's forehand clips the top of the net and drops his side to let the Scot off the hook. I don't know which way this set is going to go. I really don't.
Murray 4-4 Davydenko
Right, no more limericks/poems. I don't want to be accused of being a narcissist. Good comeback from Davydenko in that game. The Russian hammers some magnificent groundstrokes to hold to 15.
"A lady called Caroline Cheese
Followed tennis and football with ease
She liked neither sport
But to watch them she fought
Cos she liked staring at young mens' knees"

Murray 4-3 Davydenko
Davydenko goes for a mental walkabout allowing Murray to cruise through that game. Murray jogs to his chair looking very pleased with himself.
Murray 3-3 Davydenko
Davydenko starts to miss a few first serves, allowing Murray to turn up the heat. The Russian double-faults on Muzza's second break point and it's as you were.
"I really like Andy Murray
I hope he beats Nikolay in a hurry
Keep me up to date with the scores please

It may not scan but who cares?
Murray 2-3 Davydenko
Oh dear, a linesman risks the not inconsiderable wrath of Andy Murray by calling a footfault against him. No problemo though. Murray holds to 30 to keep it to one break.
Murray 1-3 Davydenko
Davydenko, or Ni-Dav as we christened him at Wimbledon last year, has made a brilliant start. Nothing complicated about his game - just deep, accurate groundstrokes behind a solid serve. Murray needs to wake up.
"That was a quick break by Davydenko, but I guess we shouldn't read much into it, given Murray's recent ability to come back."

Murray 1-2 Davydenko
An easy hold for Murray this time round, helped by a fizzing forehand down the line.
Murray 0-2 Davydenko
First little grumble from Murray as a Davydenko serve is called in. Looks like it caught the back of the line though and Murray's return into the net gives the Russian the game.
"Nikolay might be Mr Consistent, but even an inconsistent Murray should have enough class to prevail in three sets."

Murray 0-1 Davydenko
Crikey, we could be here all day if that first game is anything to go by. The first two points last 18 and 19 strokes respectively. It's a bit of a nervy start from Murray too, making four straight errors after winning the first point to give Davydenko a break straight away.
1455: Off we go then, Murray to serve first.
1453: "Not only is Andy armed with sheer class, he is now fit and strong enough to bring out the shield and be hard to beat!"

Poetic stuff from Dave the Rave. I like it.
1452: Now then, I don't want you leaving me here chuntering on to myself. It's all about interaction, so get texting on 81111 or head over to the wacky world of 606.
1447: Here come the players. These two have clashed four times before. Davydenko won the first two, Murray the last two - including the Qatar semi-final a year ago.
1445: Hello there. This should be good shouldn't it? Andy Murray must overcome top seed Nikolay Davydenko if he is to reach the Qatar final for the second year running. Switzerland's second best player Stan Wawrinka awaits after beating Ivan Ljubicic a few moments ago.
