Russia's Dinara Safina and France's Nathalie Dechy took the women's doubles title at the US Open on Sunday.
The pair, seeded seventh and playing together for the first time, beat Taiwanese fifth seeds Chan Yung-Jan and Chuang Chia-Jung 6-4 6-2.
Dechy won her first Grand Slam doubles title last year at the US Open paired with another Russian, Vera Zvonareva.
"The US Open and New York is so special and Dinara played so well," said Dechy. "She served well the whole tournament."
Chan and Chuang missed out again after losing in the final of the Australian Open in January.
"The result wasn't very good but it was important to have the opportunity," said Chan.
"We're really, really happy to get in the final again but we are looking forward to having more chances to get into a final in the future.
"We'll try our best to be the best players in Taiwan."
