Henin eases back to winning ways
Justine Henin
Henin has won five titles so far this season
World number one Justine Henin enjoyed a routine win over Slovenia's Andreja Klepac in the second round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto.

The Belgian won 6-3 6-1 in her first match since her shock Wimbledon semi-final defeat to Marion Bartoli.

"It took me a couple of games to find a good rhythm," said Henin, who eased through in 69 minutes.

"I really needed a break after Wimbledon, mentally and physically to get fresh was really important to me."

Defending champion Ana Ivanovic suffered a shock defeat by China's Zi Yan.

The Serbian, who won the title in Los Angeles last week, was thrashed 6-3 6-1 by the world number 169 from China.

Second seed Jelena Jankovic demolished Canadian Marie-Eve Pelletier 6-0 6-1.

Fifth seed Anna Chakvetadze earlier retired with a viral illness when trailing Virginie Razzano 76 (7-5) 2-0.

Sixth seed Nadia Petrova had to battle for a 6-7 (4-7) 6-2 6-1 win over Canadian wildcard Stephanie Dubois.

And seventh seed and Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli progressed when Maria Kirilenko joined the casualty list, the Russian retiring with a knee injury when 6-2 2-1 down.
