World number one Justine Henin will face Serena Williams for the first time since 2003 in Saturday's Sony Ericsson Open final in Miami.
Henin swept aside Russian Anna Chakvetadze 6-2 6-3 to reach the Miami final for the first time.
Williams, who was struggling with a sore knee, needed almost two hours to see off Israel's 14th seed Shahar Peer 7-6 (7-4) 6-1.
The Australian Open champion will now seek her fourth title in Miami.
Williams and Henin have met eight times in their career, with Williams holding a 5-3 advantage, and the final will see a meeting of the two form players of 2007.
"It's a long time since we played each other," Henin said. "She looks like she's healthy now and very focused on tennis.
"We had a couple of good fights in the past. I know she has a lot of motivation but I also have a lot of motivation and the best will win."
Second seed Henin, who has lost just one of her 16 matches this season, won the first set in 33 minutes.

Justine is doing awesome - this will be a real test of my game

The Belgian then broke Chakevetadze at the start of the second set and went on to secure a comfortable win.
Henin had never previously been beyond the quarter-finals at the event and admitted she had expected a stiffer test in the last four.
"It was an easier match than I was expecting," said Henin, who came to Miami in top form after back-to-back victories in Dubai and Doha
"I was just happy to do my job, it was very clean. I had a solution to every ball she was hitting."

Williams has advanced to the Miami final without dropping a set but she took a while to hit her stride against Peer.
In the opener, the American struggled to find her rhythm but took a 4-1 lead in the tie-break to close out the set. Williams dominated the second, taking a 3-0 lead before sealing the win with her seventh ace.
"I started out really slow," Williams said. "I think I was a little nervous and then I just finished well.
"Justine has been playing some of the best tennis on the tour. She's doing awesome. This will be a real test of my game."
