China's Li Na produced a stunning comeback to reach the Pacific Life Open semi-finals in Indian Wells at the expense of Vera Zvonareva.
Li was 5-1 down in the second set before bouncing back with six games in a row, surviving two set points on the way, to wrap up a 6-4 7-5 victory.
World number 17 Li will next face Daniela Hantuchova, who beat Shahar Peer 6-2 5-7 7-6 (7-5).
Zvonareva had beaten defending champion Maria Sharapova in the previous round.

I was running from one side to another, but it's a great feeling to be tired like that

Twelfth seed Li broke Zvonareva twice in the first set and twice in the second, and saved two set points at 5-5 before wrapping up victory in one hour, 27 minutes.
Zvonareva, seeded 15th, did not seem at her best throughout the match and called her coach to the courtside to talk to her in-between sets.
"After she went ahead 5-1 I started to play better and then the ball seemed to slow down for me," said Li.
Hantuchova, who beat Martina Hingis on Tuesday, had to overcome 61 unforced errors to beat Israel's Peer in a two hour, 53 minute marathon.
She broke Peer's serve four times and hit twice as many forehand winners (22-10).
"I think we both started to feel it in the middle of the third set because we had long rallies, and also the match yesterday with Martina was not easy," said Hantuchova.
"I was running from one side to another, but it's a great feeling to be tired like that."
