Cljisters may miss French Open
Kim Clijsters
Clijsters is adamant she will quit the WTA Tour after this season
Belgium's Kim Clijsters is considering skipping the French Open in May in order to concentrate on Wimbledon.

The ex-world number one has a hip injury and needs more time off between tournaments to maintain her fitness.

Clijsters, 23, who plans to retire at the end of the year, told her website: "I have to build in longer rest periods after each tournament.

"It might very well be I'll drop the French Open, so I can be completely fit for Eastbourne and Wimbledon."

Clijsters confirmed, however, that she is fit to play in the Diamond Games event in Antwerp next week.
