Former world number one Martina Hingis has announced she is to marry Czech tennis player Radek Stepanek.
Stepanek proposed to Hingis in Prague in November
The 26-year-old Hingis, ranked seven in the world, returned to the women's tour last season after three years out.
The Slovakian-born player, who moved to Switzerland as a child, said that 28-year-old Stepanek had proposed to her in Prague in November.
Stepanek, ranked 19 in the world, has not played due to a neck injury since reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
"I'm happy," said Hingis, who revealed the news after being asked about the diamond ring she is now wearing.
"I was surprised when it was spotted right away (in Australia) because in Switzerland I've been walking around for a month and no-one's said anything."
Hingis is currently in Sydney where she is preparing for next month's Australian Open, which she won three times in a row from 1997 to 1999.
Her first tournament will be the Australian Hardcourt Championships on the Gold Coast.
