Woods and Federer met up before the Swiss star played in the final
"I remember being in great company at six, seven and eight titles, there's always great players on that level. Now I'm left alone at nine. It feels a bit strange, because I'm still going."
Roger Federer goes it alone with sole possession of sixth on the all-time Grand Slam winners list.
"At that point it was a real battle, I was really enjoying myself out there. That was a lot more fun than a lot of the losses I've had this year."
Andy Roddick is able to look on the bright side after losing in four sets to Federer.
"We have been trying to meet for a while, but he promised me he would come if I was in the final, so there was a bit of
pressure, but thanks for coming."

"It's like maybe the first time your parents see you do something special, or somebody comes to you, you really maybe look up to. For me, it's like when I go out there and I see Tiger sitting there, it's like, I try to play well, you know?"
Federer sees the attendance of his special guest as a seminal moment.
"The way Roger plays the game is phenomenal but we need more players like him. He's just a genius with the racquet."
Martina Navratilova confirms her membership of the Federer fan club.
"You throw enough crap against the wall, something's gonna stick one of these times."
Roddick explains the motivation behind continually facing Federer.
"He played like a man tonight, win, lose or draw. I'm so encouraged by the kid. I'm proud of him."
