Justine Henin-Hardenne outwitted fellow Belgian Kim Clijsters to book her place in the final of the Hastings Direct Championship in Eastbourne on Friday.
The French Open champion won 6-3 5-7 6-1 to set up a clash with Anastasia Myskina, who defeated fellow Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4 2-6 6-4.
Henin-Hardenne has now won 11 of her 21 matches against Clijsters.
Her victory over last year's Eastbourne winner saw her become the first woman past the $2m mark in earnings in 2006.
Afterwards Clijsters conceded: "Justine was the better player on the day."
