Game-by-game updates:

Fourth set:

Henman 4-6 Tursunov
Henman keeps on fighting and earns a break point but he cannot convert and Tursunov finally wraps up the win.

Henman 4-5 Tursunov
Henman stays alive with a less-than-convincing service game but he looks extremely deflated and will hope the Russian has one of his more erratic games.

Henman 3-5 Tursunov
Tursunov consolidates his break of serve comfortably enough and Henman's best hope seems to be the light rain that has started to fall.

Henman 3-4 Tursunov
It was almost inevitable - after failing to convert eight break points in the previous game an understandably deflated Henman drops serve and Tursunov is two games from victory.

Henman 3-3 Tursunov
An exquisite backhand-slice return and a charge to the net earn Henman three break points at 0-40. The first two slip away before he unforgivably puts a smash into the net with his nose practically hanging over the net. Another five break points go begging for Henman before Tursunov finally seals what could be a crucial game.

Henman 3-2 Tursunov
Tursunov attempts to come into the net at one stage but produces one of the worst sliced approaches you will ever see - it nearly lands outside the tramlines. Henman holds to 15 and looks increasingly confident.

Henman 2-2 Tursunov
Henman goes 0-15 up and bounds into the net looking to increase the pressure, only to see Tursunov bludgeon a backhand past him down the line. The game disappears in a flash as Tursunov finds his range on serve. The bad news is that dark clouds are gathering over Roland Garros.

Henman 2-1 Tursunov
More first serves from Henman and errors from Tursunov - it's the story of the set so far and the Russian looks a bit subdued.

Henman 1-1 Tursunov
One foray to the net and sharp volley brings a loud cry of "Allez Teem" from the crowd but Tursunov holds to 30.

Henman 1-0 Tursunov
Henman is taken to deuce but he looks to be handling the Tursunov game a little better now. The improvement in his first serve is key and forcing more return errors from the Russian.

Third set:

"I thought the interesting point of that set was the lack of winners from Tursunov. Henman's defensive play was magnificent and the serve was better."
BBC analyst John Lloyd

Henman 6-4 Tursunov
The crowd on Court Two is definitely behind Henman and keen to see the match prolonged. Henman does his bit by pressuring the Tursunov second serve and getting to set point, when he chips and charges before finishing at the net.

Henman 5-4 Tursunov
Henman at least has a foothold in the match for now and holds serve to 30, although a cross-court forehand winner from Tursunov is the highlight of the game.

Henman 4-4 Tursunov
Tursunov looks unruffled by Henman's resurgence and races to a love service game.

Henman 4-3 Tursunov
From appearing dead and buried Henman has dragged himself back into the match, finding a few more first serves and looking more clinical at the net. He takes the game with a superb forehand winner and is in his best form of the match.

Henman 3-3 Tursunov
Every shot from Tursunov sounds like a canon being fired and a couple of smashes put the crowd in serious danger. The Russian appears to have no gameplan and just goes for everything. That costs him when he double faults going for a big second serve at 30-15 and Henman breaks back.

Henman 2-3 Tursunov
Henman opens with a double fault and a backhand error and is soon facing two break points. Tursunov then gets a hugely fortunate net-cord to take the game.

"That was a bad game from Henman, starting with two mistakes. It does not look good for Henman now, who doesn't seem to have the artillery to trouble Tursunov."
BBC analyst John Lloyd

Henman 2-2 Tursunov
Henman makes a little more progress on the Tursunov serve, getting to 30-30 and at least keeping the Russian in the rallies rather than seeing winners thumped past him.

Henman 2-1 Tursunov
It's already hard work for Henman to contain the Russian's power but he is hanging on for the moment. The Briton saves a break point with an ace and in the end holds confidently.

Henman 1-1 Tursunov
Tursunov loosens up with three unstoppable aces and one vicious forehand that sends Henman diving for cover at the net.

Henman 1-0 Tursunov
Henman will be relieved to start the day with a comfortable hold to 15 after a desperately frustrating day yesterday.

"There's a lot of British fans here on a packed Court Two hoping for a Henman fightback, but if Tursunov comes out and plays the way he did last night we may just be watching one set."
BBC commentator Chris Bailey

Second set:

Henman 2-6 Tursunov
Tursunov wraps up the set at the second opportunity. The umpire, incredibly, says play will go on. Then, after the referee returns and shares a jovial chat with the two players, the match is suspended.

Henman 2-5 Tursunov
If it's possible, Tursunov seems to be upping the power. Some of his groundstrokes look to be endangering Henman's health and he powers to a double break of serve.

Henman 2-4 Tursunov
Henman embarrasses Tursunov with one chip and charge and gets back from 0-40 to deuce before both players and the umpire have a lengthy discussion about a mark from a Tursunov serve. It makes little difference in the end as the Russian holds.

"Henman's worried about the light and Tursunov's just got his head down and is getting on with business. I'm sure he'll be happy to stay out here as long as it takes."
BBC commentator Chris Bailey

Henman 2-3 Tursunov
Henman saves two break points from 15-40 and another at deuce with a rasping forehand winner. It's something of a shootout between the two at the moment, and Tursunov gets the break back when Henman plays a poor drop shot that sits up asking to be put away.

Henman 2-2 Tursunov
The telling off from the referee appears to have galvanised Henman, who gets a lifeline at 0-40. The fearless Tursunov blasts his way back to deuce and goes on to save six break points before Henman finally makes the breakthrough.

Henman 1-2 Tursunov
Henman does well to stay in touch by holding serve but the Briton is not happy. After a lengthy chat with the umpire about the light the referee comes on court. He appears to lecture Henman about his language, which was probably not what the Briton was expecting.

Henman 0-2 Tursunov
Henman lets out an extremely loud expression of frustration that even the Parisians probably get the gist of. The umpire certainly does and warns the Briton. Meanwhile, Tursunov powers on.

Henman 0-1 Tursunov
Tursunov's power proves too much for Henman once again and, after dropping serve, Henman looks towards the umpire probably hoping for a stoppage. Unfortunately for the Briton, the light remains pretty good.

"Henman's job here is to hang in early in this set."
BBC analyst John Lloyd

First set:

Henman 3-6 Tursunov
Henman gets to 15-30 but Tursunov finds a huge backhand. The Russian is feeling some pressure and double faults to go to deuce but gets out of trouble with a forehand winner to take the set in 37 minutes.

Henman 3-5 Tursunov
Tursunov is really finding his range now and Henman has to produce his best tennis just to stay in the rallies. He just about holds on after one deuce.

"It's just a heavier game from Tursunov, who's playing 21st century tennis. He goes for broke on every shot while Tim's game is a bit dated."
BBC commentator Chris Bailey

Henman 2-5 Tursunov
Tursunov holds to love as Henman fails to put him under pressure and the set is slipping away.

Henman 2-4 Tursunov
A better service game from Henman is only blighted by yet another bludgeoning forehand pass down the line from the Russian. Henman then changes things with a moonball that Mats Wilander would have been proud of and a surprised Tursunov has no answer.

Henman 1-4 Tursunov
Henman gets to 15-40 but sees an ace fly past him and then puts an ambitious backhand down the line into the net, and the chance is gone.

Henman 1-3 Tursunov
Henman finally gets off the mark and receives warm applause from the locals, who seem to be backing the Brit, at the moment, in the face of Tursunov's barrage.

Henman 0-3 Tursunov
There is half a chance for Henman at 30-30 but he puts a regulation backhand long and Tursunov goes on to hold.

Henman 0-2 Tursunov
A fierce Tursunov drive straight at Henman forces the Briton to take evasive action and give up a break point. He saves it with a stunning drop shot but a couple of points later Tursunov fizzes a cross-court forehand winner past Henman at the net for the break.

Henman 0-1 Tursunov
Henman makes a positive start by chipping and charging to take the first point but some heavy hitting and an ace give Tursunov the game.

"I can't believe they're out there as there's no way they can finish the match tonight."
BBC analyst John Lloyd
