American Meghann Shaughnessy beat eighth seed Martina Sucha of Slovakia 6-2 3-6 6-3 to win the Rabat Grand Prix in Morocco on Sunday.
The unseeded Shaughnessy claimed her fourth career title in eight finals after holding her nerve to win the decisive third set on the clay.
It was her first tournament win since Memphis in February, 2005.
After losing her first five matches of 2006, Shaughnessy has now won 14 of her last 20 matches.
