Luis Horna won his first ATP title at the Mexican Open after a 7-6 6-4 win over Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela.
Peruvian Horna broke Chela's third service game in the second set after taking the first set tie-break 7-5.
"Acapulco will stay in my heart. I've had an unbelieveable experience here," said Horna. "It's like being at home".
German second seed Anna-Lena Groenefeld won her maiden WTA title in the women's final, beating defending champion Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-1 4-6 6-2.
She then had a break of 30 minutes before returning to take the doubles title, partnering Meghann Shaughnessy of the United States to a comfortable 6-1 6-3 triumph over Japan's Shinobu Asagoe and Emilie Loit of France.
Top-seeded Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl, of the Czech Republic, defeated Potito Starace and Filippo Volandri of Italy 7-5 6-2 in the men's doubles.
