It has been a busy day for John McEnroe. He was on court at 1000 and after a spell behind the microphone, he is back in action with doubles partner Peter Fleming against Australians Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee. Is Davenport choking again? Had the chance to serve out the Championship, couldn't do it. She has a nasty habit of losing Grand Slam semis and finals from winning positions, I hope it doesn't happen again now.
1630: BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Martina Navratilova is running out of chances to fulfil her dream of becoming the most decorated Wimbledon player of all time after crashing out of the women's doubles today.
Navratilova currently holds 20 SW19 titles - the same as Billie Jean King. But she and Anna-Lena Groenefeld were beaten by Svetlana Kuznetsova and Amelie Mauresmo 6-4 6-4, so now her hopes rest on success in the mixed, where she partners fellow American Mike Bryan.
1605: Lindsay Davenport lets rip at the umpire after a harsh line call in the second set of the women's final:
If I did my job that poorly, I wouldn't be out here. It was not even close and you don't even have the guts to override the machine (Cyclops). It's really too bad.
1515: Junicator, Five Live message boards:
I've got a funny feeling that it might be 'after the lord mayor's show' for Venus. She doesn't look as sharp today. She put so much into that semi and celebrated so much afterwards. Will it cost her?
1510: John McEnroe on the women's final
Venus looks nervous, but that was a terrible backhand from Davenport. I guess they are both fighting it right now for obvious reasons. It's the final of a grand slam and they've both waited a long time for this opportunity
1430: Sarah Holt, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Baroness Thatcher and her daughter Carol are among the guests in the Royal Box on Centre Court. Actor George Lazenby is the third James Bond of Wimbledon fortnight in the box alongside wife, former doubles champion Pam Shriver.
1420: Boris Becker, BBC commentator, on Andy Roddick
He's just four points away from the final for the second year running and he wants a lunch break - well a banana anyway.
1410: Elizabeth Hudson, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
British wheelchair tennis number one Jayant Mistry is staying calm after his semi-final victory in the men's doubles semi-finals on Court 14. Mistry and his French partner Michael Jeremiasz beat France's Lahcen Majdi and Miroslav Brychta in straight sets. "I'm planning to have some pasta and an early night and then practice on Sunday morning before the final," said the Leicester man.

Some excellent tennis again. Shame the winner will just have to settle for being runner up in the final.
1243: Piers Newbery, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Former Leeds and Sweden international Thomas Brolin is cheering on Johansson from the players' box. The footballer calls himself Johansson's lucky mascot.

What is that noise Roddick keeps making? It's so irritating, he doesn't say 'come on', or 'yes', or even 'allez'.
1217: Mats and Andras, from Sweden on Henman Hill
We arrived on Friday to see Thomas Johansson against Andy Roddick. The Swedish media are putting all their hopes on Johansson. He is a good player, in form and it will be a tight match.
1125: Sarah Holt, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
John McEnroe and Peter Fleming make it through to the semi-finals of men's over-45 doubles where they will face Australian legends Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee. McEnroe stops to sign autographs on his way out - but when will he have time to fit in potentially two more tennis matches with his commentating duties?
1050: Piers Newbery, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Spectators on Court Two get an early treat as John McEnroe and Peter Fleming take on Tom Gullikson and Leif Shiras in the quarter-finals of the over-45 doubles.
1020: Wimbledon weather forecast
The official word is that it will be "dry this afternoon with warm spells of sunshine" and the temperature will reach 23C.
1005: Piers Newbery, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Andy Roddick's coach Dean Goldfine is among the early starters at the All England Club making his way through the grounds towards the practice courts. Vera Zvonareva is also up early, as are American doubles stars Bob and Mike Bryan.
0735: Not a great start to the day weather-wise in London as an irritating drizzle starts to fall. All England Club officials will hope it clears up before Andy Roddick and Thomas Johansson are set to resume their semi-final at midday.
