LATEST UPDATES FROM FANS, PUNDITS AND OUR REPORTERS...
2029: Martina Navratilova and Bob Bryan beat Travis Parrott and Amy Frazier in the mixed doubles in front of a big crowd on Court One to conclude the ninth day's play.
2016: Nine-time Wimbledon doubles champion Todd Woodbridge, speaking about his retirement on BBC Radio Five Live
One of the things I've hated the most throughout my career is being called a doubles specialist. I'm a big advocate for young players to play doubles and learn the whole game. I was happy with my singles career and reached the singles semis here and got to 19 in the world.
1959: Ian Westbrook, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
A few spots of rain fall on Court One as Martina Navratilova plays her third round mixed doubles match.
1855: Thomas Johansson gets five minutes to enjoy his win over David Nalbandian before being asked about Andy Murray
I've been very impressed with him both at Queen's and at Wimbledon. He destroyed Taylor Dent at Queen's, which is very, very impressive.

If Roddick didn't rely on the ace so much, he would not be half the player.
1840: Pat, via text
Could someone please teach the other tennis players to accord the same courtesy to ball boys as Grosjean does? He's the only one I've seen thank them.
1815: Piers Newbery, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
An understandably dejected David Nalbandian trudges off Court One after losing to Thomas Johansson, straight past a young autograph hunter sporting an Argentine football shirt who slams his pen and pad into the ground in disgust.
1800: Former champion Michael Stich discussing Wimbledon seedings on BBC Radio Five Live
(Third seed - but world number two) Lleyton Hewitt is here to win this tournament. He's going to have to beat Roger Federer and it doesn't matter if that's in the semi-final or the final.

Roddick seems to have taken control of the match. This could well be a four-set win for Andy, but I didn't expect too much magic from Sebastien anyway...

Why is Grosjean's (reasonable) height of 5ft9 always mentioned as a constant source of amusement? and why is he never given the credit deserves? He's hot.
1730: Les, via text
Could you please tell Jimmy Connors he is the best ever and how great it is to see him here. He is my hero and my eldest son Jimmy is named after him.

Roddick's had some hard games. Apart from his serve he really needs to improve his other shots and all-round game - it is nowhere near as good as Federer's and you really need that on grass.

I just get the impression that Federer is so superior, he might not lose another set. The media are trying to big up Hewitt and Roddick but their records against Roger are feeble.
1600: Simon Austin, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Roger Federer suffers a temporary bout of amnesia when asked about his defeat, from two sets up, by Lleyton Hewitt in a Davis Cup tie two years ago.
The duo, who are ranked one and two in the world, meet in the semis here on Friday.
"I don't remember that," he jokes when reminded of the defeat by an Aussie journalist in his post-match press conference.
1545: Mark Barden, BBC Sport at Wimbledon.
The covers are off again on Centre and Number One Courts, and the players are knocking up.
1530: Mark Barden, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
The covers are off again, and preparations are under way to resume play - an announcement promises it will be "very soon". Unfortunately, the rain begins moments later and the covers are whipped back on.
1528: Pat Cash on BBC Radio Five Live
Roger Federer has raised the bar in men's tennis. Who is going to get up there to challenge him? Hewitt has pt on some muscle and started to hit the ball harder while Andy Roddick has the game
1515: Mark Barden, BBC Sport at Wimbledon:
I spoke too soon about the rain holding off - it's just starting coming down and the covers are going on. Thomas Johansson had a break point in his opening game against David Nalbandian when the downpour began.

Even though it was only three sets, Federer-Gonzalez was a brilliant match. When Federer is playing like that, it's like watching art in motion. But Gonzalez played brilliantly too: if it had been anyone but Federer he was playing, I think he'd be through to the semis.
1505: Mark Barden, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
FA chief executive Brian Barwick was taking a break from the lurid headlines of the Faria Alam employment tribunal with a spell in the Royal Box on Wednesday.
Also present in the Box were tennis legend Ilie Nastase and British showbiz trouper Jimmy Tarbuck.

Latest stats from the Championships show that none other than Britain's Elena Baltacha hit the second fastest serve in the ladies singles so far this fortnight - an 121mph (193.6kph) effort in her first-round defeat by Sabine Klaschka.
1253: Simon Austin, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Young American star Donald Young races through the second set of his match against Venezuela's Piero Luisi to win 7-6 6-2 and reach the quarter-finals of the boys' singles.
1230: Mark Barden, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Potential ladies singles finalists are going through their paces side by side on the Aorangi practice courts.
Top seed Lindsay Davenport is hitting up with a male practice partner, while defending champion Maria Sharapova kicks things off with a light-hearted game of football doubles with her coaching team.
Lurking on the next level down, however, is the woman who could end Sharapova's hopes of retaining her title - Venus Williams, working hard under the guidance of her cigar-puffing father Richard.
1215:Sarah Holt, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
John McEnroe shows no sign of aches and pains from his doubles victory on Tuesday as he bends down to examine the grass on Centre Court.
1153:Simon Austin, BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Donald Young, the great young hope of American tennis, is attracting lots of attention out on Court 19.
The court is packed and dozens of people are craning for a view from the Court One bridge and the walkway to Henman Hill.
They're being treated to a compelling match - the first set between 15-year-old Young and Venezuela's Piero Luisi in the Boys' Singles has just gone to a tiebreak.
1120: Piers Newbery, BBC Sport at Wimbledon

The weather forecast is warm and humid - with sunshine and showers predicted for later in the day.
