The London-based Italian has enjoyed another solid season on the circuit though she is still searching for her first title.
Schiavone reached the third round of the Australian Open for the second time in career, eventually falling to Nathalie Dechy.
She went one better at Roland Garros where she advanced to the last 16 before being beaten by an in-form Ana Ivanovic.
There was also modest success on the tour as she reached the quarter-finals in Doha and Rome.
Schiavone is a clay-court specialist but has performed well at Wimbledon since her debut in 2001.
Though she is more than capable of claiming big scalps on her day - she defeated Serena Williams in Rome this year - the Italian has never quite hit the heights of 2004.
In that, her breakthrough year, the Italian reached the quarter-finals of the US Open and broke into the top 20 for the first time.
