Schnyder has doggedly worked her way back into the world's top 10 this season.
The 26-year-old won her ninth career title at the Gold Coast tournament - her first event of the year.
She followed that up by reaching the quarter-finals of the Australian Open for the second straight year.
Schnyder has shown an impressive battling spirit on court that has seen her advance to three semi-finals.
The Swiss also reached the final in Rome, beating Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova on the way, before losing out to Amelie Mauresmo.
Schnyder's combined performances were good enough to lift her into the top 10 in May for the first time in six years.
She did not get beyond the fourth round of the French Open as she succumbed to the Mary Pierce steamroller effect.
However, she will be out to do better at Wimbledon - the only major tournament where she has never got past the third round.
