British women's tennis got a boost on Sunday when Anne Keothavong capped her return from a serious injury with victory at the ITF event in Bolton.
Keothavong injured her knee in Lexington, Kentucky, last July
The British number two only returned to action two weeks ago after eight months out with a knee injury.
And after losing in the first round in Sunderland, Keothavong lived up to her top seeding in Bolton with a 3-6 6-1 6-1 win over Czech Veronika Chvojkova.
It is the seventh title of Keothavong's career at the ITF level.
A former world number 140, she began the week ranked 212, and was named in Great Britain's Fed Cup team to travel to Turkey next month.
